Hello, everybody!
In this short letter I would love to introduce myself, my teaching philosophy, and welcome all new students into the challenging, fun, and rewarding world of Studying Foreign Languages.
A couple words about myself — I graduated from Moscow Pedagogical University and for about 25 years have been teaching foreign languages. After I moved to Colorado I taught Russian and Russian Culture in a local college, launched and accompanied educational tours “ Study Russian in Russia,” lead weekly Russian Conversational Club and taught Russian to American teenagers in a summer camp. Recently, together with my TEFL certificate, I received an International Certificate in Teaching English Online.
I equally enjoy teaching English and Russian as foreign languages and always try to explore new teaching methods and techniques. Several years ago I presented a workshop at the Central States Teachers’ Conference in the US “Emotional Approach – Even Russian is Not Scary”.
I enjoy meeting people of all ages and various backgrounds and consider teaching to be a two-way enriching experience. In my classes I work on all language skills and I will be flexible and creative in supporting students to meet their goals. I hope you will give Russian a try!
